CARTA buys 5 buses from Dallas transit agency

The Charleston Area Regional Transportation Authority bought five buses for a total of $31,400 as part of its plans to update its aging fleet, according to a news release.

The 40-foot-long vehicles have improved air conditioning, seats and technology, the release said. Each bus can hold 40 passengers.

CARTA bought the buses from Dallas Area Rapid Transit.
