Charleston firm designs iPhone game for hip-hop artist Jermaine Dupri

It was a goofy idea followed by a long shot: A small Charleston software development firm designed an iPhone game last year that reminded them of a line from a ’90s hip-hop single. They got ready to release it, and they wondered: What if the artist who recorded the song got on board?

The company, That Level, tried sending emails, but messages never got through to Jermaine Dupri, the producer who recorded “Money Ain’t A Thang” with Jay-Z in 1998.
